About me
Claudia V. Castaneda Lopez is a dedicated school social worker at San Diego County Office of Education-Juvenile Court and Community Schools, where she provides emotional, social, and academic support to students and families. She specializes in counseling, crisis intervention, and connecting students and families with essential resources.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology in 2016. She graduated in 2019 with her master’s degree in social work with a Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Social Work and Child, Welfare and Attendance. She is currently an associate social worker working and accruing hours towards her to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Passionate about fostering a supportive school environment, Claudia collaborates with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote student well-being. She advocates for mental health awareness and offers individual and group counseling to address challenges such as anxiety, family issues, and academic stress.
Outside of work, Claudia enjoys spending time with her family, hiking and community organizing, reinforcing her commitment to building positive and trusting relationships within the school community.
